ROSY PINK BLOOMS

Loropetalum chinense
A great late winter/early spring bloomer is Loropetalum.  The colorful one we have at the arboretum is more a large shrub although new varieties that are shorter, have purple leaves, or even white flowers can be found.  When planted in well-drained soil, this plant has been found to have very few problems from insects and diseases.  The arriving hummingbirds appreciate the early blooms.  For more detail about growing this plant, click here:  LOROPETULAM
