POLLINATOR PARADISE GARDEN

Agent Eric drove an enthusiastic group of Master Gardeners to Chatham Mills to see the pollinator garden created by Debbie Roos, a Sustainable Ag Agent from Chatham County.  The garden has 210 species of plants with 85% being native to North Carolina.  Debbie is also a talented photographer.  You can view her 'What's In Bloom' photos as well as go to links for all the information you might need to create your own 'Pollinator Paradise' by clicking below:

WINNERS FROM PITT COUNTY

Congratulations to the Herb Garden Curators at the Pitt County Arboretum (Master Gardeners Dorita, Knox, Mary, and Mary Jo) for winning the Madeline Collier Landscape Design Contest at the 2018 North Carolina Extension Master Gardener Conference held this week in Greenville.  Their display of "Herbs Gone Spiral" depicted the new herb spiral they created at the Arboretum.  The Herb Spiral demonstrates how more plants with varying sun and water requirements can be grown in a small place.
