VERTICAL GARDEN WORKSHOP



A FREE class on vertical gardening is being presented by Master Gardener Volunteers.

Free, but you need to call 902-1709 to register.

Vertical Gardening has become a new trend in growing  flowers, vegetables, herbs, or sedums.  In this class you will learn about the advantages and challenges as well as different methods of growing UP.  Additionally, there will be a hands-on demonstration of creating a garden from a recycled wooden pallet.

The morning will begin inside the Ag Center in the Kitchen, but will move outside for the pallet construction.

PITT COUNTY ARBORETUM PLANT SALE

The good weather has finally turned our thoughts to planting.  Be sure to mark your calendar for the annual Plant Sale hosted by your local Extension Master Gardeners.  They have begun to pot up plants from their precious gardens and from the Arboretum.  So save some room in y0ur garden for some of our selections.
