THE HUMMINGBIRDS ARE HERE

HUMMINGBIRD MIGRATION MAP

Are you ready for them?  The Ruby-throated Hummingbird is the only hummingbird that breeds in our area.  They feed on small insects and nectar.  They prefer the nectar from bright, tubular flowers.  The link below will give you more advice to attract them to your garden.

They adore Monarda didyma (Beebalm).  We will have this plant at our Plant Sale on May 19th.

PLANT SALE POTTING UP DAY

A large crew of Master Gardeners braved the cold weather to begin digging up plants at the Arboretum to sell at our May 19th Plant Sale.  They were kept busy from selecting the plants to divide, digging them up, putting them in containers, labelling them, placing them in the holding area, and watering them.  430 plants were potted up! The next Work Day will be Tuesday, the 3rd.
