THANK YOU GARDENERS

People and ducks showed up today at our plant sale with rain gear on hand.  We experienced a few passing showers, but everyone kept smiling and shopping!  Please come back on a sunnier day and tour the Arboretum to see where we've improved the gardens thanks to the proceeds from this sale.

PLANT SALE TODAY

See you all there.  Should a little rain fall, the plants will be happy!  We have some tents set up for cover.  See you at 9:00 AM if you are a Friend of the Arboretum (or want to join).  Otherwise the general sale runs from 10:00 AM to Noon.  Park in the front lot this year.

SATURDAY- Rain or Shine- PLANT SALE

The Master Gardeners have grown and collected over 3,700 plants for sun and shade (Perennials, Shrubs, Tree, Roses, Vines, Groundcovers, Annuals, Sedums, Vegetables, Herbs, Ornamental Grasses and even Houseplants).  They are ready to turn the care of them over to you.  If you've been to the sale before, you will be happy to see a lot of new varieties.  Reminder:  Cash or checks only.

If you are a Friend of the Arboretum, the gate opens at 9:00 AM.  You may join that morning.  Just come a little earlier to fill out the paperwork.  We have seen people show up an hour early to get in first!  Some carts, wheelbarrows and boxes are available, but you may bring your own.

From 10:00 AM - Noon, the General Public is invited to shop.

At 11:00 AM, is a Plant Swamp.  You are invited to bring something from your home or garden (plant, containers, tools, books, garden art, etc.) and swap with others.  Master Gardeners organize the swap, but do not participate.  Please label your plants.  If it doesn't get swapped, it goes back home with you.

See you Saturday, May 19th.
