We have a number of resident birds that stay in our area year round. Watching their activities is a pleasant way to spend a cold, snowy day. Putting up a feeder is one way to attract them to your backyard. Another way to lure them is to plant a variety of native plants that provide the food and cover they need not only in the winter, but through all seasons. Where to start?
